About Us

APS electronic AG was founded in 1998 following the Management Buyout of EAO’s division for power electronics in Olten. The management of APS electronic took over the engineering team and moved to the new location in Niederbuchsiten between Basel and Solothurn.

In addition to the power converter activity railway vehicles and trolley busses, APS electronic has been representing Kiepe Electric for many years on the Swiss trolleybus market. Eventually, APS electronic AG was acquired in 2009 by today's
Kiepe Electric, which is part of the Knorr-Bremse Group.
The company is well established on its domestic market and generates more than 60% of its sales in export. APS electronic is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and owns the CL4 certification level for the railway welding standard DIN EN 15085-2.

Over the years, APS electronic has gained an excellent reputation for the quality and robustness of its products. Through continuous improvement, we strive to increase the reliability of our products, hence reducing life cycle costs (LCC) for our customers.
