No Extra Pounds: 280 kg – APS Scales Pyrenean Peak

Stadler Bussnang AG is commissioning APS to deliver seven on-board converters for the cog railway FGC Vall de Núria in Spain. The converters with battery charging function will be installed in three-part trains operated by the Cremallera – the cog railway between Ribés and Nuría. The decisive factor was the weight-optimised solution offered by APS electronic AG – weighing in at just 280 kg, our Type GWSL 1500/3x400-36kVA/36-200Z on-board converters are carrying no extra pounds as they scale the Pyrenean peak.
