Strong demand for Kiepe converters
The k.Converter is actually intended to supply railroad construction sites with 400 VAC 50 Hz power. However, visitors to our stand at Innotrans 2024 can also imagine using this innovation for the permanent power supply of signaling systems and other components. Regardless of how the k.Converter is ultimately used, the demand for converters on railroad tracks has been and remains high.
In addition to the k.Converter Rail2X, we were also able to present the k.Charger and our silicon carbide converter. The latter was particularly impressive due to its high efficiency. The interest shown by various operators and vehicle manufacturers was so great that we ran out of product flyers. The possibility of connecting the k.Charger directly to the catenary was a positive surprise for visitors to the stand, as were its modular design and flexible application options. Finally, we received many inquiries about charging options for battery-powered rail vehicles.
All in all, KIEPE Electric Switzerland can look back on a very pleasing Innotrans and consider both its presence and its products a complete success. A big thank you to customers, interested parties and visitors!
